Formula

Combined Odds = Leg 1 × Leg 2 × … × Leg N (in decimal format)

Total Payout = Wager × Combined Odds

Profit = Total Payout - Wager

A push (tie) removes that leg from the parlay and reduces it by one leg.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a parlay bet mean?

A parlay (also called an accumulator) joins several selections into one bet. All of them have to win to pay. The odds multiply, pushing the potential payout up.

What if a leg pushes?

A push (tie) drops that leg from the parlay. A 4-leg parlay with one push turns into a 3-leg parlay. The pushed leg counts as odds of 1.0.

What if a leg loses?

One losing leg sinks the whole parlay. That is the catch with parlays — every leg must win (or push) for any payout.

Do parlays pay off over the long run?

Parlays usually carry a bigger house edge than single bets, since the bookmaker margin stacks up leg by leg. High-risk, high-reward — use them selectively.
